My key to Shabbat success….

Shabbat services can be a very daunting experience and in an effort to be a more active participant it is time to memorize the prayers…correctly. I have spent too much time making up an amusing but nonsensical Hebrew vocabulary in order to fake my way through a Friday night.  Enough is enough. This past week, I staged my own intervention and asked my Rabbi if I could borrow a copy of the shul’s siddur. He said “yes” and I have been carrying it around ever since. I am hoping its content will seep into my subconscious and next Friday i’ll be kicking Shabbos A–.
